Youth Programming
8th Annual Children's Bicycle Rodeo!
Bring your kids and their bikes for free, hands-on bike riding activities to teach and promote bike safety. A fun event for folks 6-12 years of age. Free bike helmets and prizes for participants. Sponsored by the Alliance for Community Choice in Transportation and the Charlottesville Police Department. 1-3pm, adjacent to the Eco-Fair in the Lexis Nexis parking deck across from Bob's Wheel Alignment at 701 Water St.Introducing the Children's Corner!
Per usual, there will be children's activities spread out among the booth organizations. This year, Earth Week is more family-friendly than ever! Bring your kids to our t-shirt painting station! Have them paint a blank tee with provided materials. A donation of $10 is kindly requested.- interactive storybook reading with author Cindy Bowen, based on her book Playing with Gaia... discovering the spirit of Mother Earth - book signing and books available (Playing With Gaia online, books available at Barnes and Noble, Amazon, and Grateful Steps)
